SCAOR President, Rob Harman, will present two special achievement awards, the President's Award of Recognition and the Lifetime Achievement Award. The President's Award is only given if there is an individual or individuals involved in SCAOR who have gone above and beyond their board or committee duties. The Lifetime Achievement Award is given to an individual who has contributed to the REALTOR® community as a whole.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS, MIDYEAR MEETINGS ROUNDUP

SCAOR recently participated in the Sixth Annual Outstanding REALTOR® Association Web Site Contest. The Association received recognition in the spring edition of REALTOR® Association Executive magazine for "great ideas under construction." The "Rookie Corner," created by Shirley Kalvinsky, appears in our weekly newsletter and website. In future articles we plan to add more graphics to the "Rookie Corner," to help illustrate the topic of discussion. - Tax Tips for REALTORS® with Rick Tull, CPA this Wednesday, May 30th at 5 p.m. Hear suggestions and bring questions to this short session.
- Grab and Go Nutrition for busy people with Dr. Anna Henderson, Nutritionist and SSU Professor on June 14th at 5 p.m. Learn how to create your healthy menu and guidelines based on "sound" advice.
- Health Insurance - an expense you can't afford to do without. Jim Rasa will present health care insurance options on June 20th at 5 p.m.

Article 12
REALTORS® shall be careful at all times to present a true picture in their advertising and representations to the public. REALTORS® shall also ensure that their professional status (e.g., broker, appraiser, property manager, etc.) or status as REALTORS® is clearly identifiable in any such advertising. (Amended 1/93)
Standard of Practice 12-4
REALTORS® shall not offer for sale/lease or advertise property without authority. When acting as listing brokers or as subagents, REALTORS® shall not quote a price different from that agreed upon with the seller/landlord. (Amended 1/93)
Standard of Practice 12-5
REALTORS® shall not advertise nor permit any person employed by or affiliated with them to advertise listed property in any medium (e.g. electronically, print, radio, television, etc.) without disclosing the name of that REALTOR®'s firm in a reasonable and readily apparent manner. (Adopted 11/86, Amended 1/07)
Standard of Practice 12-6
REALTORS®, when advertising unlisted real property for sale/lease in which they have an ownership interest, shall disclose their status as both owners/landlords and as REALTORS® or real estate licensees.
Standard of Practice 12-7
Only REALTORS® who participated in the transaction as the listing broker or cooperating broker (selling broker) may claim to have "sold" the property. Prior to closing, a cooperating broker may post a "sold" sign only with the consent of the listing broker.

So that we have enough available boxes for our increasing property inventory, we ask that you consider removing the lockbox from properties when they go under contract. By doing this, it will ensure that your office has an inventory of boxes to meet the need of new listings.
SentriLock Inventory
Take a moment to review your SentriLock inventory. If you have excess boxes, please let the board know. These boxes may be needed for distribution to firms that have a short supply. If you have excess SentriLock boxes, please call TracyLee at 302-855-2300.

ON THE SAFE SIDE
Each week we will be covering a portion of the "MLS Rules and Regulations." To be on the SAFE SIDE, please review the rules each week to eliminate errors in the system which could lead to MLS violations and fines. These rules and regulations have been submitted and reviewed by NAR and are in full compliance with National Association policy.
VIOLATION OF SECTION 16 -- $500
Section 16.3 - Display: Display of listing information pursuant to IDX is subject to the following rules:
Section 16.3.9- The right to display other Participants' listings pursuant to IDX shall be limited to a Participant's office(s) holding participatory rights in this MLS.
Section 16.3.10 - Listings obtained through IDX must be identified separately from listings obtained from other sources, including information provided by other MLSs.
Section 16.3.11 - No portion of the IDX database shall be used or provided to a third party for any purpose other than those expressly provided for in these rules.

MLS bills
MLS bills are being sent out today, May 25, 2007. These invoices will be due July 1st. Please note that the amount due covers 12 months of service. Just a reminder that there will be no refunds; however, if an agent transfers to another participating firm, that money follows them. Please let us know if you have any questions! Next week, we will let you know how to make that payment on-line.
