SHREDDING PARTY

Shredder Join SCAOR in cleaning out those old files in your desk and file drawers. Thursday, June 28th, bring your old papers to SCAOR between 9 am and 12 noon. For a donation of a $5 Sam's Club or Food Lion gift card, or a 5 lb bag of onions or potatoes, you can safely and securely dispose of confidential and sensitive information. Your donation must be brought with you to the shredding event.

Note: The Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003 (FACT Act) requires when consumer information and confidential reports are disposed of, that they be disposed of properly.

Items donated will be given to Jusst Sooup Ministries... serving Georgetown, Lewes, Rehoboth Beach and Greenwood.

FHA HOUSING SEMINAR

On Thursday, June 14th, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage sponsored a two hour seminar highlighting the benefits of FHA mortgage financing. Sue Evans and Betty Krug presented to 17 attendees. The topics covered the benefits of seller assistance through non-profit agencies, changes in appraisal and property requirements, and marketing opportunities for FHA real estate owners.

 

Pen Paper SCAOR is calling all writers to consider becoming part of our "Writers' Guild." You can become part of our "crew" to help create and write articles for publication. You may write on one topic, write one time, or write on a regular basis. The President's Advisory Group for Public Relations is recruiting articles on topics such as:

  • Why Use a REALTOR®;
  • Buyers' Market;
  • Foreclosure;
  • REALTORS® Build Communities;
  • Local REALTORS®, Not Long Distance Relationships; and
  • REALTORS® and Builders are Teaming Up.

If you have a topic of interest, we're not picky; however, your work may be edited for print. Submit your article or ideas to TracyLee@scaor.com.

ON THE SAFE SIDE

Each week we will be covering a portion of the "MLS Rules and Regulations." To be on the SAFE SIDE, please review the rules each week to eliminate errors in the system which could lead to MLS violations and fines. These rules and regulations have been submitted and reviewed by NAR and are in full compliance with National Association policy.

MLS HEARING COMMITTEE

The MLS Hearing Committee will consist of 5 members of the MLS Committee. Members of the MLS Hearing Committee shall not be:

  1. Executives or staff of Association, or;
  2. Members of the Board of Directors of SCAOR;
Members of the MLS Hearing Committee will be scheduled to serve on panels as primary and alternate participants on a rotating basis. Each Hearing panel shall elect its own Chairperson.

All Hearings and procedures shall be conducted in accordance with the Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual for the National Association of REALTORS® and such Rules as promulgated hereunder.

 

Affiliates of the Week

MLS bills

MLS bills were sent out Friday, May 25, 2007. These invoices will be due July 1st. Please note that the amount due covers 12 months of service. Just a reminder that there will be no refunds; however, if an agent transfers to another participating firm, that money follows them. Please let us know if you have any questions!
