There's 3 Ways to Help!
1. Start cleaning out that attic and garage. You need to do it anyway and this is for a great cause! Then bring those gently used items to the SCAOR office during business hours May 3 - 7th for donation to the Yard Sale.
2. Volunteer on Friday, May 7th starting 1 pm at the SCAOR office to organize and price donated items.
3. Rent a table for $20 to sell your own junk! Or baked goods, crafts, etc.
Contact Tammy Hadder at 302-541-5982 or thadder@resortquest.com, or Cyndi Marsh at 302-363-5734 or Cyndi@debbiereed.com to volunteer or rent a table.
100% of Yard Sale proceeds will be used towards a brick and mortar foundation for a Habitat for Humanity Home. Construction begins May 2010 in Cave Colony, Milton!

The Sussex County Association of REALTORS®, The Sussex County Association of REALTORS® Community Service Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity are teaming up to build a home in Milton. The "Women's Build" will begin in May. We are currently seeking women volunteers (sorry men) to take part in the Leadership Team. All positions are posted on the website: www.sussexcountyhabitat.org.
Click on Women Build and this will connect you to the link that describes the Leadership Volunteer positions that need to be filled prior to the Build beginning. Later, we will announce the actual May start date and it will be open for any volunteers to sign up (including men). Special days will be held for the Sussex County REALTORS® to come out and work during the regular work week.
We have a great start towards this project. SCAOR received a grant from NAR for $5,500 for the Foundation, but we still need to raise approximately $1,500 toward the project. So, if you can't do the time on the project, please consider a donation to the project. Just a dollar makes a difference!
For more information, contact Kathy Goodman at kgbeach81@aol.com.

THE NAR CODE OF ETHICS . . .
Our Professional Code of Conduct
The Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS® establishes a public and professional consensus against which the practice and conduct of REALTORS® and REALTOR-Associates® may be judged. In joining a Board of REALTORS®, you signify your intention to abide by the Code and thereby enhance the public and professional image of yourself and all other REALTORS®. Adherence to the Code is the first great bond between REALTORS® throughout the country. Knowledge and adherence to the Code sets you apart from other real estate practictioners.
The Code of Ethics Case Studies which you have been reading have been developed by the NAR Professional Standards Committee to help understand in real-life scenarios, the ethical obligations created by the Code of Ethics. They are also used for extra guidance for Grievance Committees, ethics and arbitration Hearing Panels, and Boards of Directors.
Code of Ethics Case Studies present specific situations involving charges of alleged unethical conduct by REALTORS® and/or REALTOR-Associates®, which are reviewed by a peer panel of Board Members and in which decisions as to ethical conduct are reached. Each case study provides the Hearing Panel's decision based on the facts and the rationale for the decision.
We hope these Case Studies help you in considering your duties and applying good ethics in your dealings with Customers, the Public, and with other REALTORS®. Have you noticed that the NAR Code of Ethics is divided into your
